Our research investment

Over the years, The Kids’ Cancer Project has steadily increased its investment in childhood cancer research, funding hundreds of projects that span discovery, clinical translation and survivorship with over $76 million committed to research to date.

In FY’26, The Kids’ Cancer Project invested $3.34 million into childhood cancer research across Australia, supporting 38 projects and 47 researchers across 21 institutions – driving progress across all aspects of the translational research pipeline.

Looking ahead, the organisation is committed to growing its annual research spend through FY’27 in line with its 2024-29 research strategy (linked), with a stronger focus on co-funding partnerships, seed funding innovative ideas, and scaling impact across the national research pipeline right across Australia.
